Let’s Write Together
Let's Write Together is a series of regular meetups for those who want to start writing but keep getting distracted by the outside world — while procrastination wraps that desire in a warm, cozy blanket of TV shows.
We offer two evening hours where, together with others — without the option to step out for a cigarette, wash the dishes, or scroll through Instagram — you’ll simply write.
To make it easier, we host themed sessions (see our calendar), but that’s completely optional — you can write whatever you want and work on your own projects.
Our schedule:
19:00 — gathering, talking, getting to know each other
19:30–20:15 — silent writing session, in mutual respect and focus
20:15–20:30 — short break to clear the mind and refill with words
20:30–21:00 — silent writing session, in mutual respect and focus (2)
Afterwards, there’s an optional 30-minute sharing round for those who’d like to read their work aloud.
As a little motivation — the best texts written during our sessions may be published on our website.
The language of communication and publication on the website is English, but the language you write in is entirely up to you.
The event is free to attend, but as organizers, we’ll be happy if you treat us to a drink as a free donation.

Imagine: you’re at a party full of strangers. At first, you sit alone with a drink, unsure where to go. One room bursts with chaos — people dance on tables, bottles fly, laughter shakes the walls. You join for a while, lose yourself in the noise, then slip away, tired and dizzy.
You wander into the kitchen — quiet, warm, almost sacred. A few people sit around the table, talking not about parties, but about life, senses, and everything in between. The air feels heavier, slower, real. You light a cigarette, listen, and maybe even speak. Hours pass unnoticed and you realize that you are stuck here till everything is over...
Sound familiar? Write about it.

A metaphor? An anecdote? Maybe an old lyric echoing somewhere in your mind? Perhaps a story about some hairy, pretentious rock ’n’ rollers shooting themselves up with heroin, trying to survive their road to fame. Or maybe it’s a tale of someone slowly rolling down and down, wasting away. Would you dare to interpret?

The TV Tower, Alexanderplatz, the yellow trams, the sound of ambulance sirens, or techno on Warschauer Straße?
Is it the museums, the wide boulevards, the high-ceilinged apartment, and a pop-up café in Prenzlauer Berg?
Is it the ride on the gloomy U8 and a forgotten Pfand under the seat, or the vacuum cleaner you drag home with a sign saying “zu verschenken”?
Is it the impossibility of making friends or the endless number of acquaintances who entirely asking you the same questions. Is it the best city to move to — or a catastrophic mistake?
