Cafe Kyiv 2026 🔥
On Monday, February 23, 2026, we took part for the second time with a stand for Dach Magazine.
It’s hard to believe that a year has flown by so quickly. It feels like just yesterday we were biting our nails, anxious that the delivery of the magazine from the printing house in Kyiv wouldn’t arrive on time. We didn’t even know what was waiting for us inside the boxes, since all communication with the printing house had been online.
The entire process — from the Open Call to logistics — was specially designed around “Cafe Kyiv 2025,” because where else, if not at the largest event of Ukrainian culture, should we present the magazine?
We met an incredible number of people: journalists, organizations, activists, small businesses, fellow participants, and visitors from Germany and other countries. We spoke with everyone, walked around with flyers, exchanged contacts, and talked and talked and talked — about the magazine, the artists, the project, its mission, and the translation.
We talked until the event closed — until our social batteries were completely drained.
This year felt different. We found our footing. This time, people came to our stand already familiar with the project: some came intentionally to see us, others stopped by chance and said, “Oh, we’ve heard about you.”
Wow.
When you work on an idea, you don’t always feel the tangible result of what you do. Everything seems abstract, distant, almost celestial. You sow, hoping to reap one day — but you don’t see that it’s already growing.
And that’s exactly what happened to us over this year. We’ve grown.
Thank you, Cafe Kyiv, for this ground to grow on.
